Top 10 Reasons 2012 Will Keep Us Entertained:
1) 2012 Olympic Games in London: Who doesn’t love the Olympic Games? Bringing the world together through sport…but that logo is terrible.
2) Leap Year: After four long years, we finally get to wake up on another February 29th!
3) The End of the World: December 21st, 2012 = Best day of the year to throw a party! Gather your friends and celebrate your “impending doom.” Not to mention, once this is over, we can stop hearing crap about 2012 until the next end of the world date comes up. (2020, I’m looking at you.)
4) Presidential Elections: We may not be seeing such characters as Biden, Obama, McCain, and Palin, but the 2012 Presidential Elections are sure to be exciting.
5) Last Triple Number Day: January 1st, 2001 was the first; November 11th, 2011 was the best (my best wish ever); and December 12th, 2012 will be our final. Let’s live it up!
6) 100-year anniversaries: Attention anything created/founded in 1912: This is your year! Paramount Pictures just released its new logo for its 100 years, and I’m sure there will be plenty to follow.
7) Holidays: Think about it, EVERY holiday will happen in 2012! You like a holiday? It’ll be there!
8) Movies: Movies are going to rock our world this coming year. The Hunger Games, The Dark Knight Rises, Star Wars Re-releases in 3D, The Spiderman reboot, and last but not least, the Twilight Saga will FINALLY end! What a great year for film.
9) Apple Products: Every year without fail, Apple releases new versions of their popular electronics. I can’t wait to see iPad 3’s and iPhone 5’s.
10) 2012 is a solid year: Maybe you won’t understand, but the date 2012 sounds much more… “Absolute” than say, 2007 or 2013. Maybe it’s the anchoring 2’s.
