Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2012
10. Battleship-The classic board game turned into a movie with a naval fleet battling against an alien race. Both sides of the story will be shown so the audience knows where each other’s ships are.
9. Men in Black III- Agent J travels back in time to the 1960’s to try and stop an alien from assassinating his friend. This could possibly the last film in the series and fans are hoping to go out with a bang.
8. Django Unchained- Quentin Tarantino is taking on a touchy subject: slavery in the South. Not much is has been released about the film other than it centers around a Mississippi slave turned bounty hunter. Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jamie Foxx are the lead characters.
7. Skyfall- Daniel Craig returns in his 3rd James Bond film. MI6 employee James Bond questions his loyalty to his superior M when her past comes back to haunt her.
6. The Hunger Games- The first installment of a three book series being made into movies. The Hunger Games movie is based off of the first book by Suzanne Collins. The teens now have something other than Twilight to bring them to the movie theater.
5. Prometheus- A science fiction movie exploring the advanced civilization of the extraterrestrial race. James Cameron the original Alien film series director is back to create the 5th installment of the series.
4. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey- The long awaited prequel to the Lord of the Rings series, the first part is to be released at the end of 2012. Fans will have to wait another year, as the second part of the movie will be released at the end of 2013.
3. The Amazing Spider-Man- After the third Spider-Man was somewhat blah to fans, a new director has taken over to revamp the Spider-Man series. Fans are hoping that with a new Peter Parker, new cast, and a new director, this movie will revamp the Spider-Man series.
2. The Avengers- Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk all team up to fight to save global safety. A crossover of recent Marvel superhero films, this mega cast film is set to be one of the best superhero conglomerate movies.
1. The Dark Knight Rises- Batman has to restore his legacy after taking the fall for the Harvey Dent crimes. The last movie in the Dark Knight series, the directors have their hands full trying to create another classic like the last. Without the Joker will the movie still attract the giant crowds?
